Pregnancy and childbirth bring joy; however, it also leaves women with some unwanted physical changes to their bodies. The most common problem area is the stomach – stretched abdominal muscles and loose, sagging skin. And Reality TV star Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett is one of the many women who has struggled to regain her pre-pregnancy body. Although she has followed a healthy diet and exercise routine after the birth of her son, Wilkinson is not entirely satisfied with the way her body looks.
According to a recent article, the former Playboy Playmate has vowed to undergo liposuction surgery only after having another baby. She has said that she didn’t choose to have the procedure now because she knew she wanted more children (women are typically discouraged from undergoing body contouring procedures if they plan to have more children). The liposuction procedure is designed to remove stubborn fat cells from specific areas of the body, and with the advances in technology and techniques, cosmetic plastic surgeons can provide patients with less bruising, bleeding, and swelling during and after the surgery.
Based in Dallas, David Morales, M.D. performs liposuction surgery at his practice. Those in the surrounding areas, including Fort Worth, may visit his office to learn more regarding their options with this procedure. Young girls are often influenced by the teen queens of television, movies, and music. So when they see their favorite actress dress a certain way it is no surprise that they immediately look for similar fashions. However, when they hear that their role models are going under the knife to enhance their appearance, teens seem to be opposed to the star’s decision. Most recently, Heidi Montag, star of “The Hills,” was a big upset to her young fans; Disney star Ashley Tisdale was also scrutinized for her surgery.
Although these stars are said to be a sort of example for their adoring fans, when it comes to plastic surgery, teens seem to getting smarter. Some state that they find their procedures unnecessary and make them look too plastic – more so in Montag’s case, who underwent facial surgery, breast augmentation, liposuction, and rhinoplasty. Tisdale addressed the surgery rumors by explaining that she had a deviated septum and therefore chose to correct the issue with nose surgery; this made more sense to her teen fans. Young girls are becoming more aware of plastic surgery at an early age and becoming educated on what looks natural and what looks fake – something that many stars may not be doing.

Recently, there have been more reports of reality star (and mother of eight) Kate Gosselin undergoing several cosmetic plastic surgery procedures. She has publicly stated that she had a tummy tuck, but still holds to her story of not having work done on her face and breasts. The latest claims say that she underwent Botox ® injections and breast enhancement surgery. The main effect of Botox injections is temporary paralysis of the underlying facial muscle, which would explain the frozen look on Gosselin’s face. Yet, during her appearance on ABC’s “The View,” she shoots down the rumors.
In a world where it has become common for those in the limelight to undergo some, or many, rejuvenating procedures, there are few left who do not discuss their nips and tucks. Gosselin has been photographed with an extremely smooth facial contour, which is why there are so many accusations of facial enhancing treatments. In addition, photos of the mom of eight in a bikini have also caused speculation on whether she has had breast surgery – Gosselin has denied these rumors as well. Whether she verifies or continues to refute claims of plastic surgery, the reality star continues to draw attention to the matter by being so vocal about it.

Last year, actress Daryl Hannah was seen with an overly plumped face, with rumors surrounding the idea of plastic surgery, claiming that she had undergone several facial rejuvenating procedures. From injectables to facelift surgery, Hannah’s face showed evidence of cosmetic plastic surgery. However, as many before her have done, she denied having had any work done, instead blaming the ocean, no makeup, and bad photography for the way she looked in the images.
As more recent images have emerged, it appears that Hannah may indeed have had some cosmetic enhancements. Her cheeks, lips, and the area below her eyes look fuller – much like that of an injectable filler patient. At the age of 49, Hannah is at the average age of the typical facial rejuvenation patient, which is why it is not unlikely that she underwent some type of rejuvenation. Other Hollywood stars have openly discussed their facelift, Botox ® injections, facial fillers, and other plastic surgery procedures, while still some remain quiet and/or express negative thoughts on the subject.
In Baltimore, Janet P. Woodyard, M.D., F.A.C.S. offers surgical and non-surgical procedures at her practice. You may learn more regarding facelift surgery and facial injectable when browsing her website. Dr. Woodyard has the experience and training to provide patients with beautiful results.

Whether you blame it on the “young and invincible” mentality or the Gen-Z of the digital life, it’s clear that Gen-Y has a real issue with permanence. Among the young, rich and famous, no one understands this better than Heidi Montag, who recently came to the stark realization that when it comes to plastic surgery, there’s no undo button.
After undergoing dozens of cosmetic procedures—including breast augmentation, a brow lift, a nose job, ear surgery, a chin reduction, liposuction, buttock augmentation, fat injections and Botox—rumors are swirling that Montag’s brief love affair with cosmetic surgery has come to an end. Now, reports say that Montag regrets the amount of work she’s had done and wishes she looked like she used to.
While some non-invasive cosmetic procedures—such as Botox and chemical peels—are temporary by nature, most plastic surgery is fundamentally irreversible. With the exception of implants, which can be removed, surgical procedures permanently alter the shape of your body. As such, “reversing” the operation is impossible. In fact, the only effective solution is quite the opposite—you would have to undergo further surgery that would attempt to approximate your former appearance. This is potentially problematic. The epic saga of the late Michael Jackson’s ever-changing nose proves a cautionary tale against swallowing the spider to catch the fly via repeated corrective cosmetic surgeries.
It may be too late for Montag, but at the very least, she’s taught an important lesson to those considering plastic surgery. In some areas where cosmetic work is seeing a surge in popularity, such as Riverside County, liposuction, facelifts and other irreversible surgical procedures feel like the norm. Montag’s change of heart allegedly stems from marital strife—but social pressure, career moves and other external shifts can also lead to reconsideration of plastic surgery. Many Newport Beach breast augmentation patients may be able to attest to this.
While plastic surgery doesn’t typically end in regret, those who are considering having permanent changes done to their body should always make sure they are doing it for the right reasons. They should also consider the long-term impacts on their social life and professional careers.

Constantly in the spotlight, Holly Madison, star of “Peep Show” in Las Vegas, knows that plastic surgery can help to improve a person’s chances of succeeding in the entertainment world. It is no secret that Madison has undergone cosmetic enhancements of her own – nose surgery and breast augmentation. Her first procedure, breast enlargement, was performed in 2001, followed by rhinoplasty two years later. Madison states, “My nose photographed really big in front of my face. If I wanted to do anything in the entertainment industry, I needed to get it fixed. I was definitely happy with the results. It made me more confident. And a lot of doors open when you look a certain way.”
However, Madison also recognizes when enough is enough when it comes to plastic surgery. Her thoughts on Heidi Montag’s recent enhancement? “I think it’s kind of weird. I think people need to know when to stop, when it comes to plastic surgery. I’m kind of surprised, living in LA that she doesn’t know when to stop.” Her own surgeries have left her feeling content and she no longer feels that she needs to undergo any more procedures, “I’m happy with what I got. I had two procedures a long time ago, and no more for me.” Madison goes on to say that she doesn’t understand how others can think that excessive rejuvenation looks good.
A Beverly Hills rhinoplasty professional, Dr. Jason B. Diamond performs this nasal procedure in order to provide balance to the facial features. Patients may anticipate natural-looking results when under his care. Additional information regarding nasal surgery is available on Dr. Diamond’s website.

It seems as though just about anyone can have his/her own reality show on television these days, or at least be a part of one. The new VH1 show “You’re Cut Off!” features nine very pampered and fortunate “spoilistas” who find out that they have been cut off from their family fortune. One of the participants, Erica Rose, may be familiar to those who watch ABC’s “The Bachelor” since she is a former contestant. She is also the daughter of a prominent Houston, Texas plastic surgeon, Dr. Franklin Rose.
Aside from the luxuries of her family’s wealth, Rose also has her father’s practice and medical spa at her disposal. Along with nose surgery, she regularly undergoes Botox ® injections to maintain her youthful appearance, although she is only in her mid 20s. The idea behind the new reality series is much like a “princess rehab” to help them realize that they must change their ways or be cut off for good. By undergoing plastic surgery procedures at such a young age, they can become addicted and reach a point when they no longer look younger, but disfigured. The media’s pressure to look perfect leads young women, like Houston’s Erica Rose, to undergo breast augmentation, liposuction, and/or tummy tuck surgery. However, most of these procedures may be better suited for women who are slightly older and no longer considering having children.
If you are interested in plastic surgery, it is best to consult with a qualified and experienced plastic surgeon. In Houston, David R. Luethcke, M.D., F.A.C.S. performs various face, breasts, and body enhancing procedures. Prospective patients can learn more regarding their procedure on his website.

Celebrity plastic surgery is a common practice. When you’re constantly in the public eye you always want to look your best; and while the rest of the nation is looking to quickly shed those winter pounds to get ready for Summer, Hollywood is following in suit. However, while most people are following crash diets and counting calories, celebrities are seeking plastic surgery to quickly firm up their bodies in time for summer.
Renowned Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon and Dr. 90210 star Dr. Robert Rey recently revealed to StyleList that post award plastic surgery season is in full swing. “Having surgery in March or April will give celebrities the chance to be healed for bikini season,” says Dr. Rey. “We’re seeing more celebrities wanting breast augmentation, liposuction, tummy tucks, and fat transfer to the buttocks right now.”
But while celebrities continue to set the trends for fashion, style, and beauty, Dr. Rey is also quick to criticize their decision to undergo extreme cosmetic changes with the aid of plastic surgery. In a recent interview with Playboy Radio, Dr. Rey expressed his concerns about the message that is conveyed to young girls when celebrities undergo excessive plastic surgery; in particular the recent surgeries performed on reality TV star Heidi Montag.
“What message is she telegraphing to young girls?” he asked.”If you want to shave your chin a little bit, that’s fine,” he went on. “But multiple operations on a girl who’s already drop dead gorgeous…”
A summer approaches we are sure to see renewed and revitalized celebrity bodies gracing the covers of magazines on our newsstands and on our favorite entertainment television shows. And while celebrities are shedding pounds thanks to the artistry of surgeons like Dr. Robert Rey, the rest of us will be counting calories and hitting the gym in hopes of getting those summer bodies in shape in time for summer.

All over the media, people have been buzzing about “The Hills” star – 23-year-old Beverly Hills plastic surgery patient, Heidi Montag. She recently underwent a 10-plastic-surgeries makeover, which she revealed late last month.
The negative and positive comments surrounding her experience look to be taking Montag on an emotional roller coaster, as her fans now brand her as plastic surgery “obsessed.”
Montag has also been feeling one of the most heartbreaking aftermaths of such dramatic plastic surgery transformations – the feedback from friends and family.
Public Reaction
According to Now magazine Lo Bosworth, “The Hills” co-star said, “I hope girls don’t look at the decisions Heidi made and think that’s normal.” Audrina Patridge, another “The Hills” co-star, said “Ten procedures in one day is a little too much.”
In retrospect, some of her closest loved ones have supported her over the few weeks since the unveiling. However, her mother, Darlene Egelhoff, has been reportedly horrified over her surgeries.
In hopes to seek approval from her mother, Montag faced her mother on camera during an episode of “The Hills” when traveling to her hometown of Crested Butte, Colorado. In Colorado, breast augmentation and other plastic surgery procedures, such as liposuction or chin implants are usually not as common place in people’s day to day life’s like they may be in cities like Beverly Hills; therefore, it is no surprise family and friends of Montag’s native town were much more stunned than her Los Angeles comrades.
“I was nervous, but also excited…I never thought in my wildest dreams she was going to react that way,” the plastic surgery enthusiast told People.
To Montag’s surprise the reunion between her and her mother did not go along as planned. “She was looking at me almost like a zoo animal. It wasn’t like I was her daughter anymore. She was looking at me like I was a circus freak,” said Montag.
Montag kept her plastic surgery binge a secret from everyone, except her husband and “The Hills” co-star, Spencer Pratt. So it is not surprising to see the shocking reactions from her family and friends after revealing her new look. Dramatic transformations, such as Montag’s, can be very life changing to friends and family, good or bad.
“I think she (Montag’s mother) was most upset that Spencer was there for me and she wasn’t,” said Montag. “She was saying how sad it is that my confidence is gone because of the music industry I’m trying to get into.”
More than nine weeks post-op, Montag experiences daily pain from undergoing multiple procedures in one day. Most surgeries can take six months to a year to show the overall outcome; therefore, her results can tone down over time, and appear less dramatic.
In hopes to jumpstart her path to becoming a pop star, Montag recently released her debut album “Superficial,” which above all has not been very promising. She wanted the surgery to beautify herself for the sake of her career in the music industry.
Montag underwent several enhancements, including mini brow lift surgery, Botox ® injections, nose surgery, fat injections to the lips and cheeks, chin reduction, liposuction of the neck, waist, and thighs, ear pinning surgery, buttocks augmentation, and breast augmentation revision.
